Animation Loops

Here is a collection of some animation loops I’ve completed.

This is a hand-drawn watercolour and pencil animation loop, inspired by Mac Demarco’s Little Dogs March. It’s an exploration of walk cycles and parallax. I made it in honour of my dog after he got really bad arthritis in his legs and had a hard time walking. (He’s doing good now!)

An exploration of looping cycles.

A walk cycle inspired by Henri Guillaumet.

An exploration of pendulums.

A classic bouncing ball exercise.

For this animation, I hand-painted cels and then shot it on Super 8 film in an attempt to recapture the essence of traditional animation. Special thanks to my friend Anika who helped make the background and paint the cels!
